A Brick-Built Gotham Unveiled Like Never Before
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight invites gamers to an expansive, open-world Gotham City, infused with nostalgia and inspired by generations of Batman films, comics, and television series. The gameplay, which was played at Gamescom, takes cues from the Batman Arkham games, blending:
Dynamic Exploration: Swing from rooftop to rooftop, bound across Gotham's streets, or incinerate through the city in the iconic Batmobile.
Action-Packed Combat: Battle fluid Arkham-style, with LEGO Batman dispatching foes via a mix of brawling and stealth takedowns.
Playable Allies: Team up with beloved characters such as Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and even Talia al Ghul, each with their own unique abilities and gadgets.
The villains of the game are also A-list, such as The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul, and a Bane courtesy of the one-and-only Matt Berry. The trailer did also allude briefly to cinematic nods to iconic Batman set pieces, like The Batman car chase and Bane's "darkness" monologue in The Dark Knight Rises, but darker than the joke-happy LEGO Batman Movie.

TT Games' Triumphant Return
This is TT Games' first LEGO title since 2022's LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and it's clear that they're pulling no punches. Having developed over 20 LEGO games, including blockbusters LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (2014) and LEGO DC Super-Villains (2018), TT Games is crafting a game that celebrates Batman's evolution as a detective, hero, and patriarch of the Batfamily.
This game unites nearly all facets of [Batman's] heritage, and you can play through the entire scope of what makes Batman legendary," claims Jim Lee, DC President and Chief Creative Officer. Expect a story that starts with a young Bruce Wayne learning from the League of Shadows and recruiting allies to vanquish Gotham's deadliest threats.
