LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean 2025: Captain Jack Sparrow’s Black Pearl Sails into Australia
Ahoy, LEGO fans! The long-awaited return of the Black Pearl has finally been confirmed. LEGO has officially revealed the LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship, a 2,862-piece masterpiece inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
Launching in Australia on September 12, 2025 (with LEGO Insiders early access), this premium set will retail for AU$549.99 and is already being hailed as one of LEGO’s most ambitious pirate ships to date.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
Measuring 64cm tall and 64cm long, this Black Pearl recreation dwarfs its predecessor, the 2011 set 4184 The Black Pearl. Designed for fans aged 18+, the model features:
-
Interactive play – rotating dials deploy side cannons, while the steering wheel controls the rudder.
-
Multiple display options – mount it on a detachable stand or split the hull at the waterline for a sailing effect.
-
Detailed interiors – including Jack Sparrow’s furnished captain’s quarters and a fully equipped cargo bay.
-
Custom cloth sails – three massive weathered sails tower above the deck for an authentic look.
-
Nine minifigures – Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann (gold dress), Hector Barbossa, Joshamee Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, Marty, and a figurehead statue.
Exclusive Gift With Purchase
From September 12–18, 2025, LEGO Insiders who purchase the Black Pearl will also receive the Jack Sparrow’s Compass (5009609), a 151-piece buildable replica of Jack’s legendary navigational tool.
With stock limited, Australian collectors are urged to act fast to secure both the ship and the exclusive compass.
Why “Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship”?
Curiously, LEGO has avoided calling this set the “Black Pearl” in its official product name, opting instead for Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship. While the reasoning may be marketing or licensing, there’s no mistaking this ship’s iconic black hull and tattered sails – it is unmistakably the Black Pearl.
